Hey there! Angie here. I was one of very few selected to receive a review copy of this little board book. Two was a very fun book. My two-year-old loved it and wanted to read it again! That is really saying something for him, especially for a book with no flaps or pop-ups or anything. The pictures and words were enough. Anyway, my full review is below along with a chance to enter a $25 giveaway. Go ahead and check it out.

Praise for the Book
“Tia does an awesome job in this book capturing the funny antics of a two year old and putting them on paper in a way that is funny for your child and even more funny for mom and dad!…If you want a cute book to read to your child(ren) and get a good laugh yourself (maybe cry a little because of your frustration? LOL!), this is a really cute one for the whole family. This book has made it to the frequently read shelf!”
“It’s a book I don’t mind having to read to my daughter over and over and over and over again. Every toddler’s library should include this book. Well done!”
“”Two” is ingenious. Ostensibly a child’s board book, it looks like one, feels like one, and reads like one with its primary vocabulary and rhyme. And yet anyone who’s been a parent or sibling of a two-year-old will recognize the characteristic behaviors, grimace at the memories of them all, and then smile. You can’t help but smile, perhaps in relief that you did survive this year.”

This is a great story for a board book. I have a two-year-old at home right now as well as a baby. I could relate to just about every scenario explained here.
Let me tell you what I loved about the book. First, it is about who it is written for! It talks about two-year-olds and everything they do. When I read it to my two-year-old, he loved all the pictures of the mischief that the kid was getting into. He also liked pointing out that he was going to get into trouble for those things. But more than that he loved all the small, mostly repeating words that begin each page/scenario. There are words like, “oh, no” and “crash, crash.” He loved being able to repeat all those simple words and also being able to relate those small understandable words to the picture. I could tell he felt very involved and interested the whole time. That is saying a lot for a two-year-old!
My own personal complaint was that, though the rhymes were good, the rhythm was harder to find. It didn’t stay super consistent throughout the book. Despite that, the book was great—especially for it’s intended audience.
The quality of the book itself was awesome as well. It was a very nice size and the pages are at least a little splash(or slobber) proof. I give it 4 out of 5 stars only because of the rhythms. Everything else was great. We will be reading this book many more times!
