Seven Moon Circus Free to Teachers + win paperback & $50 Amazon GC

Hi again, it’s Sher with author Randy Morrison’s generous offer to full-time teachers for as many as 50 free copies of Seven Moon Circus.  There’s also a great chance for anyone to win a $50 Amazon Gift card along with one of 5 autographed copies of the full paperback trilogy. I introduced this offer in the Debut Author Giveaway Hop post. The hop ends Dec 11th, but the teacher books will be available until the author decides we’re done.
Here is Randy’s offer to teachers in full detail with a couple of non-pertinent parts removed:
“For full time teachers, I’d like to offer a free copy of Seven Moon Circus / Book One (not the trilogy version). Max number: 50.  First requested, first delivered. Only one teacher per school. The school must have a publicly accessible website (no passwords required); the website must list the teacher by name and grade (or subject) taught. The Book One freebies will be sent out shortly after New Year 2014.
“… teacher requests [should] come straight to me via email at:
“Teachers who request the free copy of Book One (Escape From Verdanta) will receive both the book and the Common Core Educator’s Guide, a four page, full color guide to creating lesson plans and exercises. Anyone can view and download the Ed Guide here:
“The Ed Guide was created by Grace Nall, who is a published expert on Common Core. The CC program has become somewhat controversial (political posturing again!), and some states have decided not to adopt it. No matter, teachers can still use the ideas in the Guide to create their own lesson plans.
“The Ed Guide develops two themes. On the language arts side, the idea and structure of the gateway fantasy form (sometimes called portal fantasy). On the science side, the idea of reviving extinct animals. . . one of the stars of Seven Moon Circus is a quagga, an extinct zebra that has been brought back to life by the bio engineers at Yerkoza. Illustrator Shane Watson has painted a beautiful pic of the quagga, which you can see on the website.

“The website shows Shane Watson’s cover art for all three books in the trilogy, and the Educators’ Guide (free download) and the Prolog + first four chapters of the story.”

Okay, it’s Sher again. I thought you’d like to take a look at the next two covers right here:

Since this giveaway isn’t actually part of the Debut Author Giveaway Hop, it will end whenever the author has verified 50 eligible teachers according to the rules above or whenever he decides he has enough applicants. If you’re interested, please take a look at my book review here. This was for the complete trilogy, which I’m sure you’ll want to read once your students have read the first book.

Now for the best kind of referral, another teacher’s, used with permission:

When you email Randy, please tell him the name of the person who referred you. If it’s within the period of the Debut Author Giveaway Hop, that person will get an extra chance at winning the complete trilogy. But there’s nothing stopping you from entering the giveaway for a full trilogy of your own, and leaving the name of the person who referred you in the Rafflecopter will get you an extra entry too. Just click the link above and fill out the form!

Thanks for all you do as teachers to promote literacy and keep all those wild boys (and girls) off the street! If you’d like to tell us anything about how you use fiction in teaching, please leave a comment. Both Randy and I do school visits, so please feel free to ask.
