Greetings everyone, Lionel Snodgrass here again. Before I begin my post about the things that I am thankful for, I’d like to send out a few reminders. There is A LOT going on right now. Sign up for the Gratitude Giveaways Hop giveaway below. Paul is giving away a $20.00 prize pack including any of my ebooks from Amazon and the winner’s choice on the rest. This can include paperbacks which means US residents only. Sher will be giving away a box of her (slightly) used fantasy/SF books for one lucky US winner. We’d like to thank Kathy at I Am A Reader Not A Writer for hosting this great hop, and remind you to check out the great prizes on the other family friendly hops in the linky below. Also, a reminder that I’m in the middle of my blog tour, Speaking of my blog tour, stop on by Tiner Books (the 2nd stop on my tour) today through the 25th as she is offering all 4 of her great middle grade books for FREE. Her books will make great holiday gifts and this is your chance to download them for free. You can read a review of Lionel’s Christmas Adventure and an interview at Kindle Book Promos. Now onto my post. I thought since the hop was Gratitude Giveaways and it is Thanksgiving time I would talk about the things that I’m most thankful for. I am really thankful for all the great things I have. I have my own room (Yes!), and I really like Larrystown. Sometimes moving to a new town can be tough, but I really like it here. It’s small enough that I get to be in all the sports, and I even get to play! I’m also thankful for my magical Three-Toed-Potbellied Walbaun foot. It’s a lot of trouble sometimes, but I’m still real thankful for it.
Most of all I’m thankful for my best buddy Skip. As much as I like living here, it got a whole bunch better this past year. That’s when Skip and his family moved here. You see, my Mom isn’t the nicest person in the world, she means well (most of the time), but she likes my big brother Feeney the best. Feeney, well, that’s another story. He’s mean to me and always picks on me. So the one thing I never had is a best friend. Now I do! Skip and I hit it off right away. We do everything together. We go sledding, ice skating, we frost Christmas cookies, you name it. His parents are great too. They treat me like I’m their kid, so that’s what I’m most thankful for, Skip and his parents.
I was gonna finish up, but there’s something I’d really like to get off of my chest and this seems like as good a place as any to do it. There’s this girl I really like. I’m thankful for her, but she really doesn’t know I’m alive. Well, she does, but I just can’t seem to do or say anything to impress her. Her name is Carrie and she’s the cutest girl I ever saw! She’s got cute dark hair and I really like it when she wears her hair in pigtails. This Christmas she wore green and red bows… Oops, sorry, I guess you don’t really care about that. Well, I just wanted to kind of confess that I really like her and I’m hoping that you’ll all keep your fingers crossed that maybe I can actually get the nerve up to talk to her this year. Maybe next year I can put her at the top of my list of things I’m thankful for. Thanks for reading everyone! I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving!
