Gratitude Giveaway Hop ~ Lionel’s Grand Adventure: Spotlight

 photo gratitude2013_zpsbeefeeea.jpg

Hello everyone, Paul here today participating in another giveaway hop! It sure is fun to be doing these again. Thanks to Kathy at I Am A Reader Not A Writer for hosting. The Gratitude Giveaway Hop is my favorite hop of the year. Do you want to know why? Because it’s a way to thank our followers. That’s why for this hop I won’t be asking you to do anything. Just click the rafflecopter entry marked “Free entry” and you’re entered to win. Thank You!

I’m spotlighting my very own children’s book for this hop; Lionel’s Grand Adventure: Lionel and the Golden Rule. I originally published this book way back in December of 2011. I learned pretty quickly that I had no (or at least very little) idea what I was doing. I have tried to implement those lessons in my reissue, 3rd edition of Lionel’s Grand Adventure. I discussed my re-release here if you missed it.

I won’t bore with all the details of what I’ve learned (those are for another day), but I will share the Amazon blurb with you. Also if you’re interested check out the sidebar on the left; the image of Lionel’s Christmas Adventure. You can order your very own autographed copy of  Lionel’s Christmas Adventure and very shortly Lionel’s Grand Adventure. Okay, now for the blurb:

Lionel is sick of his brother picking on him and of his mother yelling at him. One day, while cleaning the closet his mother has been after him about, he discovers not only boxes and old clothes, but a lucky charm with more magic than he bargained for. After an unusual encounter with his brother, Lionel knows things are about to change for the better.

photo LionelGoldenRuleNewFinal_zps2618bd60.jpgTogether, Lionel and his lucky charm are able to stand up to his big brother as well as make Carrie—the cutest girl in his class—notice him. While learning the quirks of his magical charm, Lionel ends up at a casino in Las Vegas, escapes an evil dog, becoming a hero to the other kids, and finds himself playing in the Great Series with his favorite professional baseball team. Will Lionel master the trickster, over-the-top magic, or will it mess things up beyond repair?

Here’s some praised that I’m quite proud of as they are folks that I really respect:

“I really enjoyed this book…I totally think Lionel’s Grand Adventure is a perfect book for reluctant readers or young advanced readers.”

“Children will laugh at the comical adventure Lionel undertakes… Lionel discovers the Golden Rule of treating others how you want to be treated. A valuable lesson that is often forgotten.”
-Stacie Theis

“It’s a charming story that is bound to capture little hearts! (& some not so little ones-like me!)… Best of all, it also teaches a lesson in guise of a story!”
