Don’t fall for false promises

Hi, all, Sher here with a short note. I’m at today. I finally started working on my paid host WordPress blog, and that’s my new domain. Don’t expect much and you won’t be disappointed. I haven’t figured out how to make the titles show in a better color. There’s lot I haven’t figured out, including how to make two sidebars. Don’t bother to click the pages at the top. They’re not done either.

What I did figure out is that the offer I thought would give me a blog completely ready for me to use wasn’t ready for me to use. It didn’t even connect to my own email address, so I couldn’t reset my password. Here’s the link to my first post, so you can read and judge for yourself.

At least I found a host I like: Arvixe. That’s something. No, I’m not an affiliate. Please Bing for the link, and tell me what you think. That’s my rhyme for the day! Oh, another thing: thanks for visiting!

  1. It looks great. I tried to comment–not sure if it will go through, but it’ll be a good test!

  2. Thanks, Stephanie, I’ll go check and make sure. I’m squeezing this in between working on our orchard and our house. Even though time is short, my hopes are high.

  3. It’s looking good, but just thinking about the learning curve you’re encountering scares me enough to make me think twice about switching platforms.

    • Ken, once I know what to do, I bet I can Skype you through it in an hour. We don’t even have to turn on the video. If you don’t want a transparent pane against a dark background, don’t even wait. Arvixe has been great to help me so far. I just haven’t asked them all my questions yet.
