Does this blog badge appeal? Plus Diego’s Dragon 99 cent deal!

I was going to post a children’s picture book review today, but I received a version of my new blog badge from fiverr, where you can get a lot done for a little cash. That fits my blogging budget to a T. I couldn’t wait. I wanted to post my proto-badge today. The review will be better on Thursday where I can link to Mommynificent anyway. Here’s my badge so far:

I was planning on adding a space background of stars around the world I have on my WordPress blog. I got the wallpaper free from Mr. Wallpaper.  Cool, huh? However, I needed a simpler world for my badge so I can overlay part of the north American continent with my heartland shape, a valentine heart. The earth above fits the bill. The question remains, should I add the space background from the picture below? Or will it be too much?

Please tell me what you think.

One more question: Do you like “Written Art” or  “Writing is Art” better for my tagline?

Last but not least, I want to share a book deal for Diego’s Dragon, Spirits of the Sun. I enjoyed this book a lot, and I loved that it featured both a Latino main character and supporting cast. You can read my 5 star book review here.

So do not pass go or collect $100 in Monopoly money before you click the picture or this BookBub link. Grab Diego’s Dragon for 99 cents while you can, and spread the word to show your support!
Thanks for visiting, and don’t forget to tell me whether you think I should add the space background to my badge and your preferred tag line before you go. If you have time, please scroll back for open giveaways. You can’t go wrong by winning a book!

  1. Great job! I get my designs done through Elance, but it’s a little pricier. Although I land writing jobs through there, too, and I find my fair share of job postings that ask for a 500-word article or blog to be written for $1!

    • Hey, Stephanie, thanks! This one only cost me $20 including revisions plus the Photoshop and source files. But it’ll probably take another $20 to get it finished. I used eLance to get an illustrator for my mom’s poem my brother and I turned into a picture book. I put a range of $1000-5000, and we got so many bids so fast, I closed the bidding after one day and almost 70 applicants. Prices were all over the map with some even higher than our range and some lower. It was overwhelming!
