Book hook prizes, Amazon Store, and new contest!

I’m late posting winners for my “Choose my book hook” post because I couldn’t decide on one winner. Using Rafflecopter is way easier than deciding whose comment was best. I took Rick Daley out of contention because he’s read enough of my book to have an unfair advantage. But I proofread Rudy Toot-Toot for him, so I hope he’s okay with that.

So who won? It was a tie. Dovile and Denise Z, who have both won one of my blog contests before. Denise commented about the different aspects of my hook that would appeal to different ages and which things might seem too immature (borderline silly) to older teens. Dovile commented about why she liked each number, as others did, but then she noted the questions raised too. So both get a $10 Amazon book or e-book prize. I’m inviting both send me pictures holding their books (or e-reader) if they’d like.  I would have chosen more winners if I had enough funds.

I added an Amazon store to my blog to keep my contests going, so if you decide to order something, you might as well do it here and help me earn your prize money. You can see what I have to offer by clicking the Amazon Store tab at the top of my blog. I decided to stock more than just books in hopes of offering you better prizes. So I have books, music, and the entire electronics department including kindles and computers and accessories, etc. If there’s something you want and it’s not in my store, let me know and I’ll add it. It didn’t take me that long to click the buttons to add extra things once I figured out how to get the store itself posted. And don’t worry that it looks like you’re leaving my site. It’s still my store and the money for blog prizes will still come to me.

Did I mention I love giving books to my followers? If you like fantasy & SF books, you’re at the right place. Chocolate too. Since my 600 follower contest ended a week ago, it’s about time to start my 700 follower contest.  You can choose both books and chocolate if you’re in the US, enough to fill a medium priority USPS box. You can see some of the book choices on my win books and chocolate page. Chocolate is optional, and I buy it according to the winner’s taste. If Rafflecopter picks an international winner, your may choose book(s) or e-books from Amazon up to $20 US.

Here’s the contest form. Do at least the first entry. Everything else is optional for more chances at winning.
